Dieting
I have decided to try a diet that Janet- Max's mom's friend- uses. It is like the atkinsin's diet so I have to not eat sugar or carbs for two weeks and then I have to moderate what I eat afterward. I really want to lose weight so I am trying it.

She said she lost eight pounds in two weeks. I don't know if I can yeild similar results, but at least it is worth a try to diet, exercise and make myself healthier.

Do you know that 98 percent of the time diets fail? As in, the weight comes back and brings a few friends? Exercise good, dieting not so good, crash dieting (and anything which excludes entire food groups is crash dieting) really really bad for you.

http://junkfoodscience.blogspot.com/ is a good blog for finding stuff that is a little more sensible about food and health and stuff. I know she's done some stuff about crash diets a while back, but I'm too sleepy to go hunting right now...

Yeah, I decided that excluding entire food groups couldn't be that good for you. Right now I am trying to eat healthier and exercising more. My biggest problem is that my schedule is making me so busy that when I actually have time to exercise, I am too tired. I have noticed that I have gained a lot of weight during the last three months. I wonder if stress plays a part as, I know I have been overly stressed.

Stress, lack of sleep... and if you're exhausted and gaining weight, it can also be thyroid. (Particularly if you're noticing a lot of hair loss.) Worth checking.

But don't go on any kind of crash diet, no matter how "good" someone you know is doing on it. The repercussions are long term and not worth it.

Thanks for the advice. I am trying to get health insurance so I can actually go to the doctor. There is definetly a possibility of thyroid since it runs in the family.
